This is the story about the travels of a friendly and kind bear named J.T.

In his first adventure, J.T. meets up with Cecil the Seahorse where we see the beginning of what will be a long standing friendship. Future adventures will reveal how much of a true and great friend J.T. is as he comes to the rescue of many a sea creature as they battle daily encounters with dangers imposed on them by humans e.g oil spills, plastic bags, fish hooks etc.

I like the sounds of your book. Is it a published book. I love children’s books and have written a few myself, but have not had anything published. Any hints on getting a children’s book published.
    Would love to see more.

The book was actually written by my mother-in-law and is self-published. Have a look at her website (the red link in the last line of the original post) and contact her through there for more information. Hope that helps :)

Your best bet for information, is talking to published writers. Do this by joining writing groups, or consulting with the likes of the Federation of Australian Writers.

Self publishing is also known as vanity publishing (with respect) It can be a great launching pad, or it can be a millstone around the neck.

Do your research. Check book stores for similar work to your own. With childrens books, get friendly with a local artist, or illustrator. Chance is, they will possibly be able to advise on various aspects.

Write the book first, then have it illustrated. Dont allow fantastic artwork to dictate your text.

That’s a great lil book you have there. I’m attempting to write too (it’s in my nook), however I continually get stuck and find it hard to get on a roll again. Any tips?
